When people come to Harmony, Pennsylvania, they expect to find special things that reflect the region’s past. Our mission is to connect visitors to the eclectic and contemporary art that shapes Western Pennsylvania’s future.
The Bottlebrush Gallery and Shop is located on the Square in Harmony, Pennsylvania, a town rich in traditional art. Built in 1804 by the Harmonites who came from Germany, it was one of only eight utopian communities in the United States. Antique shops, restaurants, stores, music and dance studios, and a museum offering tours of historic buildings and homes are all within walking distance of each other.
The Bottlebrush Gallery and Shop is right at home in this community whose settlers were known for their skilled craftsmanship. As one of the original homesteads and stores, the 200-year old building that houses the Bottlebrush Gallery and Shop is an interesting contrast to the eclectic, contemporary work within. We love innovative, well-crafted art. It’s why we chose to be in an area where the people that live there and come to visit appreciate it too.
